20 Days

Take a holiday from the usual - change it, reverse it, refuse it, break it, reinvent it.

This summer we're taking over Tate Exchange with 20 Days, gamifying the everyday by deconstructing family life and roles. What’s your everyday superpower? Make ‘frankentools’ and potions to conjure up small changes or radical actions, discuss your techno-fears in the dark and explore the things we share but never talk about, over breakfast in bed.

20 Days has been collaboratively devised with the following artists:

• Townley and Bradby

20 Days will grow, adapt and change over time in Tate Exchange, with your contributions and will feature two live interventions:

Saturday 18 August

Kaajel Patel will be creating a new character making changes with remixed household objects.

Saturday 1 September, 15.00-17.00 - Overwatch session and discussion

Is gaming time well spent? On Saturday 1 September we’re hosting a special gaming event, led by mother-son art collective Giant Bomb. Join us for a game of Overwatch offering a rare chance to talk about some big questions with fellow gamer families.
