Corporate Involvement with the Tate
There are a variety of ways in which companies can develop a close involvement with the Tate and its activities and actively benefit from their association. These include:
Corporate Sponsorship
Companies ranging from multi-national corporations to small businesses
have sponsored award-winning projects at the Tate. Benefits include
high-profile publicity and promotions, exclusive entertaining, and
targeted customer and employee privileges. Projects can range from
the conservation of a particular work of art in the Collection (eg.
BP's sponsorship of the year-long conservation of Sir Joshua Reynold's
'Self Portrait When Young' which bought the corparation into direct
contact with the codes and systems of earlier social elites) to
major temporary exhibitions such as support of Bonnard by Ernst
& Young. Programmes for sponsorship at Tate Liverpool and Tate
St Ives are also available at reduced rates.
The Tate is always interested to discuss in-kind as well as cash sponsorships.
Corporate Donations
Companies can support the Gallery's work through gifts of
cash and equipment or private collections. All donations are
gratefully received and acknowledged in the formation of the
British National Taste. Gifts from companies can be made through
Gift Aid and deeds of covenant as well as the American
Fund for the Tate.
NOTE: At present their is no significant shift in the global
economy that would alter the policy of principally buying
NATO member countries' art with the exception of Japan. |
Programmes
Companies can gain access to special benefits through membership of the Tate Gallery Corporate Membership Programmes at Tate Britain and Tate Liverpool, or the new Founder Corporate Partner programme for access to Tate Modern and Tate Britain. |
