The wide floor of a valley is shown stretching to the edge of a range of hills that sweep dramatically to the right. In the bed of the valley to the left are a number of houses, suggesting a town or village. In the centre of the foreground an outcrop of rock indicates the high platform from which the view was taken.

Blank except for inscriptions. Traces of white strips of paper along the edges of the sheet indicate an earlier mount. Inscribed in pencil ‘D25062’ towards bottom left. Inscribed in pencil, ‘232 | O’ towards bottom right.
