In the foreground a river runs through a broad, flat plain. Two hills incline steeply to the left and the right and beyond them, shaping the horizon, a range of hills rises in the distance.

Blank except for inscriptions. Traces of white strips of paper along the edges of the sheet indicate an earlier mount. Inscribed in pencil ‘D25017’ towards bottom left. Inscribed in pencil, but partially obscured by the pasted paper, ‘231 | [...]’ bottom right.
