This sketch of a town or village features a row of trees and buildings. To the right is a church whose spire is rendered with some detail, particularly as compared to the rest of the sketch. In the foreground a road is suggested.

Technical notes:
The edges of the sheet on the bottom and right are particularly uneven, being the untrimmed edge of the large original sheet from which this portion was neatly torn in Turner’s customary fashion.
