This sketch depicts a townscape with the outlines of several buildings, including a tower with a tented roof. In the foreground to the right is a tree, to the immediate left of which is a shallow arch suggesting a bridge. In the background are two hills, on top of the one to the right, standing directly above the town, is an imposing structure, possibly a fortified castle.
