In the right foreground of this pencil sketch of buildings in a rocky landscape a bridge with a wide, single arch spans a river. Attached to the bridge is a tall square building with a tiled hip roof. The bridge and building are of a similar type to Tate D20465 (Turner Bequest CCXXIV 160). More buildings, though less clearly defined, stand on the same level to the left of this structure. Further up the rocky slopes more houses are shown, clustered on the top of two separate peaks.
