Turner filled this page with studies of ecclesiastical architecture, a man in military uniform and figures in the local dress of Normandy.1 A list of the towns and cities of this region recorded in these pages is provided in the sketchbook introduction. Comparable uniformed figures were sketched onto folio 4 recto (D23463; Turner Bequest CCLI 4).
