With the page turned horizontally, an isolated group of domestic buildings is shown at the centre. They seem to be in the middle of a rather indeterminate open landscape with a horizon above them, or perhaps by a shore. Along the bottom of the page appears to be a separate sketch, apparently showing the profile of a coastline with a small building or tower silhouetted towards the left. There are identified views of Margate elsewhere in this book; see the Introduction.
