The location of this shoreline has yet to be established, but the sketch falls among a number of studies of shipping and topographical sketches in the Hamoaze and lower reaches of the River Tamar north-west of Plymouth Sound between folios 3 recto and 29 recto (D09671–D09703). What appears to be a shoreline battery towards the right may be the same as that seen on folio 15 verso opposite (D09687).
