This sketch is taken from the left bank of the River Wharfe, looking upstream to Wetherby Bridge, with a detail of the top of the tower of the old St James’s Church1 at top centre. The following page spread, running across the verso and folio 9 (D10883–D10884), records a nearer view of the same.
