This sketch depicts a major medieval bridge, with at least six arches visible, and large, buttress cutwaters, together with a small church or chapel to the right. The reading of ‘Maudlin [or presumably Magdalen] Chapel’ in conjunction with this bridge has not so far suggested a likely site. For general notes on the series of unidentified subjects to which this sketch belongs see folio 2 recto (D11597).
