There is no indication of what these figures relate to, but possibly it is to proceeds of subscriptions for Charles Turner’s mezzotint of The Shipwreck, first advertised in 1805 and published in 1807, lists of subscribers and related accounts for which are in the concurrent Shipwreck (1) sketchbook (Tate D05376–D05427; D40694–D40696; Turner Bequest LXXXVII).
