Turner’s label for this drawing is inscribed ‘La Entrance de Petit Chatreuse’ [sic]. With more accurate spelling, this title was followed by John Ruskin when the sheet was shown at the National Gallery. The drawing is likely to be another view of the Grenoble road through Voreppe, with the Grande Aiguille in the background; see also, from this sketchbook, D04515; Turner Bequest LXXIV 22.
