The drawing continues on folio 2 verso opposite (D09892), from which a dark blot is offset at the bottom right. Turner’s note to the left comes below two diagonal strokes, presumably indicating sunbeams through a gap in the clouds. There is a similar drawing on folio 2 recto (D09891). There are drawings in the Bristol area beginning on folio 3 verso (D09894), so it may be that these studies were also made there or nearby.
