The pencil marks are very faint in this sketch. Two tall stone structures are visible just right of centre in the lower half of the page. These have steep hipped roofs, suggesting the form of spires found in medieval church architecture.

Technical notes:
This sketch appears on one half of a large sheet bisected by the faint line of a fold; this half measures 141 x 193mm. On the other half is D20546 (CCXXIV 231).
