This page contains several swift thumbnail sketches of female figures, including one wearing a frilly cap adorned with a ‘Pink ribbon’ (according to Turner’s inscription). There are a number of similar groups of figurative studies within this sketchbook, see for example folios 13 and 14 (D16665 and D16666).
Finberg noted that a leaf has been torn out at this point in the sketchbook, between folios 13 verso and 14.1
