In the background are three hills; a castle sits on the brow of the middle one. In the centre of the middle ground is a large building, a wide fortified tower perhaps, formed of a rectangle within which two horizontal and two vertical lines intersect to make a cross. A smaller structure protrudes from the top of it. To the left of this tower are the rough outlines of several houses and a bell-tower. In front of these structures is a bridge with three arches spanning a river and in the foreground a series of marks suggests vegetation.
