The inscription may refer to a set of lithographs of Normandy entitled, Voyage pittoresques et romantiques dans l’ancienne France, the first plates of which were published by Isadore Taylor and Charles Nodier in 1820. See also the inscription ‘Normandy French Work’ on folio 20 (Tate D18555; Turner Bequest CCXI 20).1
