With the page turned horizontally, the view is looking north over Hooe and the Hooe Lake past Turnchapel on the left, across the Cattewater to the lower reaches of the River Plym (the Laira), east of Plymouth. The hills in the distance are on the south-western fringes of Dartmoor. There is a similar view on folio 58 recto (D09280). The subjects as far as folio 127 recto (D09358) are all identified or presumed sites within a few miles in and around Plymouth, suggesting a series of fairly short excursions.
Verso:
Blank. Irregular brown stains match those on folio 61 recto opposite (D09283), but are slightly out of alignment, suggesting that the pages were not bound as they are now when the staining occurred.
