This is the left half of a double-page spread, inverted in relation to the main sequence of sketches, continued to the right on folio 13 verso (D11390) opposite. This offers a more detailed treatment of the similar view on folio 13 recto (D11389), but taken from a viewpoint slightly higher on the rock path, and slightly further north. A third sketch, still higher and further north on the path follows on folio 15 recto (D11392).
