This page contains at least four distinct landscape sketches: three drawn with the sketchbook held horizontally and one lying parallel with the right-hand edge. All of the drawings are very rough and the individual locations have not been identified. However, the uppermost vista clearly depicts a church on a hill and is labelled with an inscription which possibly indicates somewhere within the ‘Val d’Isère’.
