There are two subjects here. At left, drawn vertically and enclosed by a line, is a quick sketch of a bridge with a small house and a road or towpath with figures leaning over a wall towards a canal or river. Filling the main part of the leaf and continued on folio 8 (D07866) is a sketch of a cottage interior with figures.
