With Eton College Chapel outlined to the south-west, this is a similar view to that on the recto (D20601), under which the subject is discussed. Here the focus is more on the foreground, and the Common Ditch broadening among trees to join the nearby River Thames a little to the east. Figures stand on the bridge on the right, with one shown in more detail at the top left with a note of red headgear and blue clothing.
