These cursory sketches, dashed-off in a matter of moments, show coastline and possibly sky. The location may be Brighton or Portsmouth, though the sketches are rather too slight to reveal any identifiable features. The artist has inscribed ‘Light’ next to a sky study at centre. There is also a coastal view at rear, drawn with the sketchbook turned upside down and annotated ‘3 B[...]’.
