This is the continuation to the right of the previous double-page sketch of Caley Crags (D12003–D12004; Turner Bequest CLIII 5a–6) depicting Caley Crags from below. The main sketch served as the basis of a finished watercolour, Caley Crags, with Deer (private collection)1 painted for Walter Fawkes of Farnley Hall about 1818. Turner did not refer to this continuation in the finished composition. For the watercolour, and Caley Crags in this sketchbook, see notes to D12003.
