Not mentioned by Finberg,1 this very loose, faint pencil drawing of a beached boat with buildings above to the right appears to be a reprise or variation on the watercolour composition on the recto (D36117; Turner Bequest CCCLXIV 270), under which the possible subject and dating are discussed.
Technical notes:
Sharp folds are evident down the centre and horizontally about a sixth of the way up.
