This page features two slight views of steep coastal cliffs, possibly in Dover (see also folio 12 recto opposite; D21873), both of which are inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation. The faint pencil lines are made more illegible still by the ink seeping through from Turner’s copious inscriptions on the recto (D21871).
