Technical notes:
There is staining visible across the majority of what is left of the original leaf (which Finberg described as ‘torn’),1 possibly sustained in the 1928 Tate Gallery flood. About two-thirds of the width was subsequently made up with similar modern paper to match the rest of the leaves.
