Turning the sketchbook vertically, Turner produced the two slight figurative studies on this page. The upper sketch appears to include two figures, although the heavy markings towards the right are difficult to interpret, and the activity represented is unclear. The upper inscription ‘mi[...]’ is partly illegible, and the repeated inscription ‘B’ might be a colour annotation. The lower outline is similarly cursory.
