Description
The letter concerns Peggy Jean's marital matters with Norman Hornstein, Jackie Epstein's new job and Epstein's work. In particular, he mentions preparations for a visit to Llandaff for the presentation of his figure there ('Christ in Majesty' 1954-55), the progress of his work for Coventry Cathedral ('St Michael's Victory over the Devil' 1958), the wall panel he is doing for Lichfield Cathedral (possibly a bust of Edward Sydney Woods, 1958) and commissions for portraits from Oxford and Cambridge [Universities] as well as general thoughts about his work and having survived a bad period. Includes original envelope.
