Description
Subtitle is 'Chronique des lettres et des arts/Khudozhestvenno-literaturnaia khronika Sergeia Romova'. Issue 1. Published in Paris. A very rare publication made by Russian immigrants and French left artists who sympathized with the USSR. Lipchitz was a friend of the editor-in-chief, Sergei Romov (French: Serge Romoff). Contributors included Ilya Erenburg, Andre Breton, Vincent Huidobro, Blaise Sandrars, Jean Metzenger, Tristan Tzara, Leipold Survage, Osip Zadkine and Albert Gleizes. The first issue contains articles by S.Romov, V.Bart, K.Tereshkovich on 'Salon des independants' and on Russian art. A sculpture by Lipchitz is on the front cover.
