Description
Lipchitz writes that he does not care about 'the campaign unleashed against him in the fascist press' and more than ever wishes his statue ['Prometheus'] remains in its place but since the Palais de la Decouverte made its decision, he agrees to the deinstalment and will help with it.
Full text in translation:
'My dear Leveille,
Not affected by the abject campaigning made against me on the fascist press, I would have liked, more than ever, that my sculpture stays at the same place.
But as the decision has irreparably been made, I'm putting myself available to the Palais de la Decouverte to make it easier. Could you give me an appointment so we can discuss of the details in person.
Please believe in my sincere and best wishes.'
