Description
This letter is a part of three, addressed by Andrei to Berthe and/or Jacques Lipchitz and dated from 15th, 16th and 20th December. All three were kept with the letter from Fanya Lipchitz to Jacques Lipchitz, 16 December 1934, in which she mentions 'letters from Andrei'. All are related to Andrei's request for a large amount of money, the purpose of which he does not explain.
In this particular letter to Berhte he persistently asks her and Jacques to come to Moscow. He also mentions a letter from Andre Malreaux, thanks to which he now works in cinema. He also asks to say to Ilya Ehrenburg that he follows his work and reads all the feuilletons. He promises to earn good money soon and asks not to send money to his father, Mikhail Shimkevich.
