Description
Letter sent by Jacques Lipchitz, he writes that he is feeling better now that he is focusing on his work and stopped traveling for talks and conferences, even if he says that everyone welcomed him with open arms on these occasions. He mentions the Philips Gallery in Washington and says that seeing the work of Francisco Goya and Paul Cezanne gave him courage to speak with his broken English. He writes about various exhibitions he's been able to see while traveling and how they have inspired him. He writes about 'Prometheus' by Rubens, he says that he loves the painting, and that Gericault was influenced by it. He finishes the letter with general news regarding some paintings he bought and his daughter.
