- Title
- Letter from Charles de Noailles to Jacques Lipchitz
- Date
- 17 December 1927
- Description
- De Noailles writes that he and his wife are fascinated with the photographs of the statue (most likely, it is 'Joy of Life') and that they recognise the struggle of Jacob with the Angel. The installer from Barriaux is already at the Villa and they are discussing the 'column' (probably, the base for 'Joy of Life'). If should be ready when Lipchitz will send the statue, and 15 January seems the ideal date.
