Description
This letter sent by Barbara Hepworth to Margaret Gardiner concerns personal and general news. Hepworth writes that she wishes she could help Gardiner more, she also thanks her for her financial help and says that she had hoped one of her works which had been selected by 'John Rothenstein' and sent to the board of trustees at Tate will be bought but it had been turned down. She also writes about various books and mentions liking Desmond's [Bernal] article in The Listener, as well as giving news on her children and their common friends Adrian [Stokes] and Naum Gabo.
