- This letter sent by Barbara Hepworth to Margaret Gardiner concerns general news. Hepworth writes that she feels helpless about Gardiner's difficulties and tries to comfort her. Hepworth also writes a list of her works and concerns she has which includes being labelled as a constructivist, she writes 'Constructive I don't mind it is ivist that I hate'. Hepworth gives news about her children's health and thanks Gardiner for the gifts sent for them.
