- Date
- [c.10 May 1912]
- Description
- Letter from Vanessa Bell, Stella d'Italia, Bologna, Italy, to Duncan Grant. She is ill during her trip with Clive Bell and Roger Fry, and has been making 'paper-mosaic[s]'. She confides news about her sibling's relationships - Adrian and Noël Olivier, Virginia and Leonard Woolf - and discusses Grant's commission to design for Harley Granville-Barker's abortive production of 'Macbeth'. The letter is written in pencil, which has faded to illegibility in parts.
