Description
Letter from Vanessa Bell, 46 Gordon Square, Bloomsbury, London, to Duncan Grant, written in pencil on poor paper due to lack of supplies. She describes her activities in London : dining with Roger Fry, Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw, the latter gossiping about Sydney Olivier and his family; the Omega Workshops party, with guests including John Tresidder Sheppard, Gerald Shove, Karin Stephen, Lala Vandervelde and unnamed Stracheys; a visit to the National Gallery with Fry; and an upcoming tea with Lytton Strachey. She worries about Grant's loss of weight from overwork. Also mentions John Maynard Keynes, Harry Norton and Flossie Selwood.
