Description
Letter from Vanessa Bell, the Grange, Bosham, West Sussex, to Duncan Grant. She recounts arriving at Bosham with her sons and servants Mabel and Flossie Selwood, and describes the house and garden. She intends to paint and make clothes; Roger Fry has praised a painting he commissioned from Grant. Bell has lied to Roger about their ménage à trois with Bunny Garnett, but will offer him advice on his own current vexed relationship, possibly with Nina Hamnett. Also mentions Clive Bell, the Debenhams, Jack Hutchinson, Kate Lechmere, and Gerald Shove.
