Description
Letter from Vanessa Bell, Charleston, Firle, East Sussex, to Duncan Grant. Discusses Bunny Garnett's autobiography 'The golden echo', the first volume of which is about to be published, which she fears may expose Bell and Grant to public scrutiny; the inclusion of paintings by Bell and Grant in the exhibition 'British painters in France', Royal West of England Academy, Bristol; and exhibitions by Simon Bussy, Derek Hill and Mary Potter at Leicester Galleries. Also mentions Clive Bell, Reginald Blackmore, Bourlet's, Dickey (?E.M.O'R. Dickey), Edward (?le Bas), Edwin Austin Abbey Memorial Trust Fund, Richard Garnett and the Cannes accident involving Mervyn and Hermione Wills Evans, London Group, and Napoleon.
