Description
Letter from Vanessa Bell, Durbins, Guildford, Surrey, to Duncan Grant, Cambridge. Bell is staying with Roger Fry and preparing for the Omega Workshops stall at the upcoming 'Ideal home exhibition'; she mentions Grant's dollhouse and elephant tray. Bell discusses the upcoming Grafton Group exhibition (January 1914), the Friday Club fancy dress ball, and a play she and her circle plan to stage. She describes a dinner with Gerald Shove and Harry Norton where Sydney Waterlow confided his marital problems to Clive Bell. Also mentions Lord Byron, Winnie Gill, Molly MacCarthy, Anna Isabella Thackeray Ritchie, Adrian Stephen, and Lytton Strachey.
