Description
Letter from Vanessa Bell, Charleston, Firle, Lewes, Sussex, to Duncan Grant, 37 Gordon Square, Bloomsbury, London. She has been converting her property at High Holborn into rooms for Julian and Quentin, and acquiring items for Charleston, including wine. She has been invited to dine or visit by Lydia Lopokova and Margot Asquith, sends Grant on errands, and discusses an article by Dorothy Todd in the 'The Studio' about Bell's and Grant's decorative work. Also mentions Alice Mary, Andrews, Angelica and Clive Bell, Fred, Grace Germany, Ethel Grant, Hammond's, Leslie, Richard, and John Tresidder Sheppard.
