Description
Letter from Vanessa Bell, 46 Gordon Square, Bloomsbury, London, to Duncan Grant. She reports further on Grant's Independent Gallery exhibition, where Lytton Strachey has bought a still life; she is planning to meet Simon Bussy to discuss his review in 'The Nation and Athenaeum'. She is painting her own still life, but unable to work on the large 'Clive Bell and family' (1924). Roger Fry has sent a postcard from Spain, and Bell intends to see actress Eleanora Duse play Ibsen in London the following week. Also mentions Angelica Bell, María Blanchard, Angus Davidson, Marcel Gimond, John Maynard Keynes and Lydia Lopokova, Hope Mirlees, and Percy Moore Turner.
