- Letter from Vanessa Bell, Monk's House, Rodmell, East Sussex, to Duncan Grant. Clive Bell is staying with her and the children; she is awaiting money sent by Grant for a forthcoming trip to France. She is painting a still life, and thanks Grant for retouching her portrait of Lydia Lopokova, on display at the London Group Spring exhibition, commenting unfavourably on the sitter's marriage to John Maynard Keynes. Also mentions Dorothy Bell, Nellie Brittain, Frank Dobson, and Stephen Tomlin.
