- Letter from Vanessa Bell, Bosham, West Sussex, to Duncan Grant, who has been having gloomy conversations with John Maynard Keynes about World War I and the death of an acquaintance, and painting a picture with some relation to William Blake. Bell is painting a self-portrait, and protests the innuendos being made about her reputation by a Pennybody or Peabody. Also mentions Clive Bell, Bunny Garnett, Henry the dog, and Mary and Jack Hutchinson.
