My dearest friend Hodinus
Your book was one of the happiest surprises, beautyfully and with great knowledge of my life and my art composed. The general set-up will satisfy the highest demand and I wish you and the book a spontaneous success as well as long life.
I am looking forward to the end of my work here and to return home as quickly as possible mainly in order that I can study it with concentration. Please send me another copy to Villeneuve as I had lent mine to the Art-director of the Museum of Modern Art at New-York who was very interested to see it immediately.
Give my love to Sir William whom I send my warmest thanks for his support
Love to both of you
Always your gratefull and devoted
Oskar Kokoschka
