Easter Saturday
My dear Master Pepi,
I never went to the USA. I cancelled at the last minute because it was raining here. It's still raining, but I've revised your mammoth manuscript. As a reward for the untold lengths I've gone to with these corrections, though, I hope you'll adhere to them faithfully. I've been at it for several weeks and I've done nothing else besides. All things considered, it's already a piece of history. Before it goes to print you could perhaps shorten the descriptions of the individual pictures (they don't help the reader and tend to become monotonous without the images). Better to give this space to major paintings such as 'Macht der Musik' [Power of Music] etc.
You're winding yourself up, now, my dear Pepi. I'll see if I have the missing chapters here, but I rather think you have them. Please send my heartfelt thanks to the beautyfull one for the scent sticks she sent me at xmas. I think of Pam whenever I light them. An embrace from your OK
Perhaps I should come to London for a week in April?
