Dear Master Hodinus,
Your article is very kind and lucid. Thank you for keeping it for me to read.
Regarding my appendix I wanted to ask you a couple of favours, that you ask your publisher whether he can correct sixty pages by 1 February 1946. Mostly minor things, I expect. The first thirty pages are finished - the other half will be ready in about fourteen days. I don't want to give the publisher any opportunity to prevaricate over 'unreadable English' or anything of that sort.
